Following requests from BID businesses, First Mile will be making collections twice each week, on Monday evenings and Thursday mornings, including Bank holidays.

For your convenience we have introduced mixed recycling - now you'll be able to recycle all your materials in just one sack! Please use our tape to secure and recycle cardboard.

You will still be able to use your current sacks and tape to recycle until these run out. Once you need new stock please call First Mile on 0800 612 9894 to order new sacks and tape. Sacks will be delivered in bundles of 25.

In addition to being so easy to use, mixed recycling is also better for the environment - with fewer journeys, bins, people, factories and sacks we can reduce our carbon impact and save 28% more carbon. Easy mixed recycling also drives costs down, this means we can do more recycling and provide an efficient and effective recycling service for more businesses in the BID.

First Mile won Recycling and Waste Management Company of the Year. The other finalists were Viridor, Greenstar, Sterecycle, PDM Group and Powerday. First Mile achieved the award because of their systems which enable them to provide a professional approach, full reporting and a total and absolute focus on serving their customers and meeting needs.
